St. Ignatius Chapel
The statue of the Virgin with child, standing out at the top of the gable which crowns the neoclassical- styled façade, probably justifies the dedication of the Oratory also to the Blessed Virgin of the Good Counsel. A recently restored altar-piece, preserved inside the church, depicts the young Giulio Tasca praying to St. Ignatius who, with imploring eyes, looks at the Virgin supported by voluminous clouds. The altar-piece, dated back to the 2nd half of the 17th century, is attributed to a skilful artist probably of a Venetian school. The little chapel was deconsecrated for a few years, then, once it had been reconsecrated, was dedicated to the fallen of all wars.
